In a surprising move, legendary Nigerian musician, Innocent Ujah Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has announced his departure from his longtime manager, Efe Omorogbe, who is the CEO of talent management company, Now Muzik.
The announcement was made through a joint statement shared on Instagram by Now Muzik, where both parties expressed their mutual disagreement and confirmed the immediate termination of their professional relationship.
Omorogbe took a moment to express his gratitude towards 2Baba, stating that working with the iconic musician went beyond mere professional duties. He reminisced about their achievements over the two decades of collaboration and assured continued support for 2Baba from the sidelines.
In response, 2Baba acknowledged the significant role played by Efe and his team at Now Muzik in his successful career. He expressed his gratitude but also noted that every good thing must eventually come to an end.
2Baba’s association with Now Muzik dates back to 2004 when he signed with the management company after his departure from The Plantashun Boiz.
Following this development, 2Baba will now be represented by his new management company, Hypertek Digital.
This separation marks the end of an era for 2Baba and Efe Omorogbe, but it also signifies the beginning of a new chapter in 2Baba’s career as he ventures forward with Hypertek Digital.
