Atiku and Obi are bad losers who can prove their absurd allegations in court, according to the APC campaign

The presidential campaign committee for the All Progressives Congress (APC) says it supports Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi’s decision to contest the election as the PDP and LP’s respective candidates for president.

Obi and Atiku announced they would challenge Bola Tinubu, the APC’s standard bearer, for the position of governor of Nigeria, during separate press appearances on Thursday in Abuja.

Dele Alake, the media advisor for the APC campaign, responded on Friday, claiming that it was untrue to imply that the bimodal voter verification system (BVAS) was not utilized during the poll because it had accredited Abubakar and Obi.

“Let us state categorically that we appreciate both as allowed by our constitution, I urge the PDP, LP, and NNPP candidates to have their absurd assertions put to the test in court,” Alake added.

“This is without regard to the efforts at moderation made by the incoming president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“He has emphasized in his post-declaration speeches the necessity for all Nigerians to come together immediately for the benefit of our nation, irrespective of who we all voted for what we did not anticipate was that the two presidential candidates and, in fact, their political parties, would shamefully repeat the flimsy and unoriginal arguments being made by political illiterates and troublemakers who are screaming wolf on social media.

“Except for the bad losers that these two have demonstrated,”

Instead of mourning the loss of BVAS, we need to be celebrating the enormous benefit it has given to our voting system.

Alake promised that the APC administration will keep up its efforts to make the nation better for all of its residents.
