Burna Boy and Tems, a Grammy-winning Nigerian singing duet, made their debut at the Met Gala, the most renowned and beautiful fashion event in the world.

The 2023 Met Gala was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday night, and the afrobeats singers dazzled the red carpet.

The occasion was graced by Burna Boy, who wore a matched black and blue costume with subtle checkered patterns as well as a substantial extension of the same material flowing behind him.
Tems made a statement with a handmade Rober Wun dress that included an elbow-length pair of gloves and a flowing, regal white finish at the bottom.

Dunsin Wright dressed the vocalist who was nominated for an Oscar.

Celebrities also attended the “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” 2023 Met Gala including Naomi Campbell, Cardi B, Diddy, Dr. Dre, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, and Trevor Noah from South Africa.

Tems spoke candidly about her enthusiasm for her Met Gala debut in a side conversation with ESSENCE.

Oh my gosh, she said. I’ve never participated in the Met Gala before. I’m ecstatic, so. First time for me. “It’s gonna be lit!”
