Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, will inaugurate Election Petition Tribunals on Monday, November 7, to hear petitions related to the conduct of the 2023 general elections.
The President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Monica Dongbam, carefully selected over 400 judges from state and federal high courts to serve on the panel.
Festus Akande, the Supreme Court’s Director of Information and Press, confirmed that the Tribunals’ inauguration would take place at the National Judicial Institute (NJI) rather than the Apex Court’s usual location.

He explained that the Andrews Otutu Obaseki Auditorium at NJI was considered due to the large number of tribunal members expected to attend the inauguration ceremony at 9 a.m.
