In order to prevent teachers from sexually assaulting her, a Nigerian student who recently graduated from the institution shared the trick she used.
In a video she posted on IG the woman said that in order to resist a lecturer’s sexual advances, she had to wear a wedding band while attending school.
She posted a video of herself dancing after her last exam and wrote that she was happy that she had managed to leave school without losing it because of a lecturer’s frustrations.
It reads:
You become so frustrated with the lecturer that you have to pretend to be married.
Other TikTok users also commented with tales of how they shielded themselves from sexual harassment by wearing wedding rings.
