Kachikwu, ADC presidential candidate ,tests positive for COVID-19.

Dumebi Kachikwu, a presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC),has tasted positive for COVID-19.

The ADC candidate announced in a statement on Friday that he had postponed all public appearances until he received a health clearance.

He warned Nigerians to exercise caution as the virus was slowly making its way back to several nations.

“Nigerians must not let their guard down even though the government has relaxed COVID-19 guidelines,” Kachikwu stated.

“Especially at a time when our medical experts are fleeing the country in large numbers, our public health system cannot handle the consequences of high infection rates and the accompanying symptoms.

“We must intensify testing and do all required measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

“We must prevent political rallies from spreading COVID and undoing the progress accomplished in eradicating the virus. If we are all alert, COVID-19 will be a success for us.
