The remains of former member of Benue State House of Assembly, Hon Arc Bula Wilfred was on friday 11th March 2022 laid to rest in his hometown Tse Bula Atim, Mbadim-Igyorov council ward, Ipav, Gboko LGA Benue state.
Arc Bula was buried amidst tears while people from all works of life attended the burial.
He left behind seven children, two wives, only sister Mrs Caroline Madugu And his aunty Mrs Apenzan, and many relatives. May his soul rest in peace.
Hon (Arc) Wilfred Terhide Bula (WTB) was born 16th August 1970 into the family of Late Lieutenant Wilfred and Late Mrs Bernadette Nyienenge Bula.
WTB’s father Lieutenant Wilfred Bula then of the Nigerian Airforce died along with 86 other passengers on the 21st November 1969 in an ill-fated Nigerian Airways VC-10 plane crash in Lagos, nine months before his birth while his mother declined to remarry after the tragic death of her husband till her demise not too long ago, taking on the sole responsibility of nurturing young Wilfred from infancy to adulthood.
Wilfred attended the prestigious Airforce Military School (AFMS) Jos, Plateau State from 1981-86
After AFMS he proceeded to the Kaduna Polytechnic to study Architecture. He was an Architect in private practice before venturing into politics
He was elected an Honorable member of the Benue State House of Assembly from 2007-2011, wherein he actively participated in parliamentary debates, committee works and sponsored bills.
He was the Managing Consultant of WilterB-AndrewS Limited a Built Environment Consulting outfit.
Fondly called the “Lion of Nigeria” by his contemporaries, blunt, humorous and fun loving.
A family man to the core, lover of children, benevolent and a high spiritual calling that have greatly impacted lives.
He died on the 4th March 2022 in Jos .
