Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia,has extended heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the dualization of the Makurdi-Otukpo-9th Mile (Enugu) road project.
Speaking at the project’s flag-off in Apir, Makurdi, on Thursday, Governor Alia pledges full state support and partnership to ensure the timely completion of the vital infrastructure.
The Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, applauded Governor Alia’s commitment to state development, thanking President Tinubu for greenlighting the project and assuring that the governor’s requests to the ministry will be granted. Umahi assures that construction on the 266.4km Makurdi-Enugu road will commence swiftly.
Governor Alia, expressing confidence in China Harbour Engineering Company Limited (CHEC), calls on citizens to support the contractor for the project’s speedy delivery. The CHEC team vows to deliver a top-notch job on the critical road project, funded through a partnership between the Nigerian government and the Export-Import Bank of China.
